I absolutely love this style and color. I have this style in four colors: Raven and Roses, Strawberry Shake R, Caramel Macchiato R, and Smoked Plum R. Raven and Roses has blood red highlights throughout on a dark brown hair fiber. Hair fibers are so silky. Heat friendly so can add more curls or go straight. Cap is very comfortable with felt around the edges with stretch. This wig has permatease so if you would loosen up the rooting, va va room. Still long enough to to put in ponytails or with clips. A real winner with this style. I like this color so much, I have in another style.

Ambrose has been my first serious foray into wig wearing. I have AGA and have spent the better part of the last year and a half researching wigs online. Heather and Cysterwigs have been so crucial to my education, helping me to feel comfortable in accepting and embracing my hair loss. I'm a member of the big-headed tribe, so when I learned that Ambrose fit average-large (and at that price point), I jumped in and bought two... then three more (Nirvana, Plum, Unicorn, Polar, and R&R).

The fibres are quite soft. They tend to clump together but I like the piecey, tousled look, and a gentle comb-through softens and smooths.

I'm new to wearing wigs, so I don't have much to compare it to, but these do seem to fit my 23.25" circumference noggin quite nicely. My glasses fit comfortable below the ear tabs, and any tightness has been remedied with an alcohol spritz and some gentle hand-stretching and wear.

As I have a short forehead, the bangs on the darker colours seemed overpowering. I trimmed R&Rs bangs into a bit of a goth microbang and I'm super pleased with the result.

The Plum is the only one that doesn't seem to work on me, as the cap construction seems tighter and less stretchy than the others, and it seems to be denser on one side (not returning as I've been using it to practice alterations). This may have been a manufacturer's error, as the other four have very stretchy and accommodating caps.

My only other complaint is that a small bit of wefting is visible at the top of two of the wigs. It is dark and blends into the root, so it is not an issue for me, but it brings the realism down a point.

All in all, I'm very pleased with my first real wig experience, and I'll be collecting a few more Ambrose in other colours. Next up... the lace front for this newb.

Ambrose for President!

I missed out on the first batch of Ambrose & was bummed, but what a lovely corona surprise when she returned in these gorgeous new colors. I chose Ravens & Roses, which is a gorgeous rich shade. Even tho it’s not a “color found in nature” & this is technically a fashion wig, the color is surprisingly easy to wear. The style is pretty & casual, the fibers are soft & light. The cap is very comfortable. I’ve received a lot of compliments on it, especially on the color. One of my co workers refers to this color as Hot Black Cherry & that seems a great description to me. Even tho this is a fashion wig, I don’t feel like it is overly screams fashion wig & it is super wearable, you know? I like it so much that I do plan to buy another in one of the more natural colors. I have noticed a bit of shedding. Bottom line? This is a sweet little wig for the price.
