What's more American than denim jeans? Embrace the rugged individualism of our cool Faded Denim Rooted -- an ombre denim color that gets progressively lighter at the tips. The Bardot wig by CysterWigs Limited Collection is a low-frills premium heat-friendly synthetic Boho style with shattered, deconstructed beachy waves. The length of Bardot is almost universally flattering. This is one of our most popular machine-made hard-front styles.

Q: What is the difference between ombre and balayage?

This question is more complicated when you're talking about wig hair colors than when you're discussing human hair. First, let's just state the most obvious fact: there is no such thing as a truly balayage mass-produced synthetic wig. Balayage is a very expensive human hair dying technique wherein a trained professional individually hand paints highlights onto the hair. Wig hair colors are dyed in large batches, which means that the only way we can create a "balayage" with synthetics is lay the hair out on a wig in a way that approximates -- but cannot duplicate -- this effect. This means that anytime a synthetic wig color is called "balayage", the term is being used figuratively or is just a clever marketing gimmick attempting to capitalize on the trend. Now, back to your original question. Ombre wig colors tend to look dip-dyed, with an obvious line of demarkation that indicates when one color transitions to the next. (Our Faded Denim Rooted is an example of a really soft ombre effect.) "Balayage" wig colors (in synthetic wigs) use a similar dye technique but lay the hair into the wig differently, usually in staggered sections, to avoid the obvious demarkation/transition line.

Denim Fade color in the Bardot I got is mostly black

Please forgive this return. I really, really, REALLY want a Denim Fade wig, but this particular version of Bardot did not work for me because it is mostly black with the Denim Fade color only on the ends. It's more of a black wig with an ombre-like Denim Fade, with the ombre fade being further down than the midline of the wig, more like below the chin.

I put the wig back into the packaging before I thought to take a photo (so sorry about that!) but you might be able to see through the packaging.

I expected it to be more like my Poppy, which has a dark root at the forehead, but which also has a very nicely-done blend of rooting and main color. I'm thinking that Bardot in general just might have more black in its basic design than, say, Poppy? But I'm also thinking that one color and its rootings may vary from wig design?

At any rate, I LOVE Cysterwigs, I get so many compliments while wearing Heather's wigs, and I will try to get a Denim Fade wig in another design.

Excellent Color/Cut - but fussy to style permatease

I bought two. Ravens & Roses seemed to have more permatease and required alot of fussing and styling to get rid of the barbie head combed with a spoon look. I absolutely adore Heather and the team and this color and style are fabulous, but permatease not so much. The Denim color required less fuss and had less of an issue at the hairline than the darker R&R. Wondering about the QA on the R&R line or maybe I just received a really intense permatease item. I love the style, but I'm on the fence about the hairline. So loving the R&R color and the style. Looking forward to more options.

Blue
Denim Fade rooted

I'm really glad I tried this color combo, even though it didn't work for me. I learned that my skin tone is too warm for the cool blues and gray blue. Now I can stop dreaming of all the blue wigs on the market that wouldn't really look good on me. I'll wait until a brunette and green-blue combo is made. I liked the navy blue in this color combo. Even though I prefer monofilament tops, I appreciate that this wig is priced lower because I just needed to see the colors on the whole wig in person.

Bardot, loved the style

I really like this style but I wasn't too happy with the color(on me that is) Faded denim was way too black at the roots for my pale skin. 2nd purchase in Polar Ice is better but still makes me look very pale. Beautiful colors on both, I'm sad they look like **** on me. Beautiful if u have the right complexion.
