Q: What is permatease?

Permatease is a wig industry term for built-in volume under the hair. Usually, this will look like tiny, short straight pieces or hair that the rest of the hair falls over. Sometimes it can also be curled for extra height, meaning that if you look up close, it may look like tiny kinky hairs. This is a premium cap feature and not a defect. Machine made wigs often benefit from permatease because it helps obscure the cap construction on top, making it a great way to cut down on hair weight and density while maintaining volume for the style. Our Charisma wig features small amount of permatease on top and at the crown. You can use your fingers to "tickle" the permatease and bring out the fluffiness of your shag!
