‘Cause You Gotta Have Faith…Mono

Ok, I now have my first higher-level HKK wig, in the form of Faith Mono. Overall, between the right fit and how this style looks on me, she is a hit and a stunner. I’m glad that there are wearable styles again (for me) in Ginger Snap, which is favorite HKK color. As for the fiber, it has a different feel to most of my other wigs, with the exception of one. The denier (thickness) of this fiber is smaller, and I could feel that right away, so I need to be mindful of how I comb out her waves. It frizzes a bit more easily, as well, but nothing a little Tressallure Wig Wax can’t tame. There is also a bit more than the usual shine under some lighting (I noticed it when shopping at Talbot’s last night), but Faith could also use a first wash to help with that. I also plucked a bit of the part and the front because they looked a bit too perfect, but nothing at all docked for that. II do have to take a star away for one thing, though. Some mono wigs tend to come up flat at the part and it is still taking some work to get some more volume around there. Kathleen gave good advice on that, which I will have to take.

Back to the good parts: I love love love Ginger Snap. This is my platonic ideal for a non-highlighted brunette, just enough auburn to give the color the right dimension. Tahitian Sunset comes at a close second with colors. And, as always, Heather keeps us bigger-headed girls in mind with that cap. I usually don’t like wefted caps these days, but I do just fine here. Besides, that means I could throw this wig into my warm-weather rotation, along with my various Felix wigs.

And I’m left-handed. Shouldn’t I be parting my hair on the right, too? That’s new. :)

Beautiful bob

Really love this wavy Bob, she the perfect wavy sister for my suri. I love this color too, such a pretty chocolate brown. This is my first wigs forever wig with a lace front and mono part. It makes the wig look very natural. The cap fits me well too and is comfortable!
