Q: How long does it take a synthetic wig to dry after you wash it?

Synthetic fiber dries surprisingly fast, especially compared to human hair. Most synthetic wigs will dry in a couple of hours after you wash yor wig. The inside will dry last. This is because the felt and other cap materials on the inside are porous and absorbant. Synthetic hair is neither of those two things, so the outside dries faster than the inside. We recommend drying on a wig stand or hanging your wig upside down pinned on a clothes hanger. This will help air circulate inside the cap to ensure fast drying time. And, as a bonus, hanging the wig upside down can unlock the layers and help the wig look more voluminous and natural.
